FAQ

Mixing Services

Q: What do I provide?

A: For a proper mix, I will need up to twenty-four 16- or 24-bit stems in WAV format, plus a rough mix if you have one. I will also need the names of one or two example songs that have the sonic quality you’re looking for. An MP3 is acceptable for the rough mix, but the stems should be WAV files. We will talk about your goals for the song by phone, email, PM, or all of the above.

Q: What do you provide?

A: I will provide a full master-ready stereo mix, plus an instrumental mix. Vocal up and TV mixes by request. Up to 3 revisions of the initial mix are included in the initial price.

Q: How do I get the files to you?

A: Dropbox or Google Drive are the best ways to get the files to me. I can create a shared folder using your email, or you can share your files with me using mine.

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Depending on my schedule, the initial mix should be done in 24-48 hours. At that point we discuss revisions, and the remaining revisions and time will depend on what is needed to make the client happy with the mix.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: Paypal is 100% preferred.

Mastering Services

Q: What do I provide?

A: A stereo WAV file, ideally with 3-6 dB of headroom. I will also need the names of one or two example songs that have the sonic quality you’re looking for, and your goals for the song. We will talk about your goals for the song by phone, email, PM, or all of the above.

Q: What do you provide?

A: For a single song, I will provide a choice of two versions of full mastered 16-bit 44100Hz WAV files (24-bit on request for Mastered for iTunes). When you choose, I will then provide a road-tested master ready for distribution. EPs and albums will be sequenced and mastered according to the client’s needs.

Q: How do I get the files to you?

A: Dropbox or Google Drive are the best ways to get the files to me. I can create a shared folder using your email, or you can share your files with me using mine.

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: Depending on my schedule, an initial single song master should be done in 24-48 hours. At that point we discuss revisions, and the remaining revisions and time will depend on what is needed to make the client happy with the master. An album will take longer but once the first song and sonic quality is determined, will go much quicker.
